While the building itself may be alright, the staff alone spoil anything the club had going for it. They are outright rude, obnoxious and have a blatant disregard to all forms of social etiquette. If you want to be spoken to like an infant or treated like a criminal then I couldn't give this place a higher recommendation. In short, the fact that a place like Oceana can exist is proof that karma doesn't. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
the club itself is on a level...its good for a night out, nice music and great people creating a fun night..BUT ....i do have to agree with the people who are saying the staff are extremely rude especially the female bouncers, they are complete thugs and the men are just as bad...i think the staff are a complete downer to ur night especially when they get rude in the begining of the night...beware of sticking up for urself, u will get thrown out!!!!!!!
This place is pretty rubbish but as it's local I can tolerate it...it's a shame that they drove out a lot of the reasonable crowd by having over zealous bouncers - I have seen respectable people be refused entry due to being a group of four males etc, whereas hooligans seem to get in so long as they have a collar and id, then they spend the night causing fights and harrassing women.
still it's only a club...good fun if you're with a good crowd :-)

I love oceana i think that it is definately the best cub in the area.
I definately feel safe once i am in there as the bouncers deal with any fights asap. I have to agree that ocassionally the bouncers can be a bit rude but hey nothings perfect.
Wednesdays in my opinion are the best nights to go, Mondays seem to attract too many fights and a rude and arrogant dj other than that a wicked night out and i reccomend it 100%!
The staff at Oceana are extremely rude. The bouncers are thugs and the manager is on a massive ego trip. They treat you like children. The bouncers are too heavy handed and agressive. I saw 5 bouncers grabbing one girl. Surely, it doesn't need 5 bouncers to restrain 1 girl. She wasn't swearing or shouting at all. I couldn't understand why they were being so rough with her. It was quite sickening to watch. I am never going back there ever again and nor will my friends. Unless they get completely new staff who know how to talk to customers. Not treat us like we are animals.
oh my god i love oceana!! i can spend literally hours boogying in the cheese room, then make my way up to the main room to finish the nite off with a bang! me and my girls go almost every wednesday, always lose eachother straight away and then re-unite about 2 hours later with a big smile on our faces having spent the time dancing to hanson with people we barely know! cant beat it! anyone up for a laugh and a nite of dancing and general carnage, get yourself to oceana, theres plenty of rooms for anyones taste!
Good for 18 years old uni freshers or local clubbers.
