I’m a member of this club, bring some guests here fairly often. The hostesses are gorgeous and funny, so as the other staff, very kind and polite. For those who can’t afford to party here, please do not moan about the prices, it’s just very sad.
I love this club! it's got class!
Amazing - best club ever in London. super super funky!
The VIP section at funkybuddha rules, I would totally go there again and again. The hostesses were gorgeous as other reviews say and I honestly found no problem with the door men, beautiful club with amazing atmosphere and clientele!!! had an amazing time.
I think funkybuddha is brilliant. I went on a Saturday night, no problem getting in -staff very friendly, brilliant atmosphere,
full of good looking people drinks not that badly priced. Music was really good... highly recommended!
Righteeeeo, i went for my birthday and had probably one of the best nights of my life?i think its necessary to include variables into the equation otherwise my argument will not be valid. basically group of asian lads were well taken care of. Bouncers were really friendly, the bar staff were nice.they even had girls going round giving complimentary massage's.u wud feel guilty not tipping them :P.all in all, tis a small club yes however ul find that its not as packed as people drunkenly might think. i rate it 4 stars...not 5 cause i didnt pull.just kidding.
on a professional note, the drinks will seem to be expensive if u geographically live away from london as im a student from birmingham myself.however, berkeley st is one of the cream of the crop stretches that ul find in london, rightly so the drinks should be over-priced.
having said all this, i dont need to stress but dress for the occasion otherwise the bouncers might be a bunch of arses. (which bouncers arent given the circumstance?) ul be ruing what could have been a good night out!
I went to FB for the first time on 29/11/08and I was not impressed! If I could give no rating I would!!The club is fairly easy to find, I recognised the club because of the logo. Its clean outside and has red carpet and is next to Nobu. Doors do not open till 10.00pm or after depending on whether the bouncers' are ready.my friends and I were 1st in the queue so were making small talk with the door staff who were all are nice and friendly, there was no probs getting in.The stairs leading to the dance floor and bar were lethal, dark and totally dangerous when you are wearing 4 inch heels!Once down there is a mirror (very nice for checking yourself!) and a fat buddha (rub its belly!)On the right of the stairs is a smaller room, did not go in but it was white and there was another bar, all the tables were reserved and the same music was playing in the main roomOn the left is the main room the bar is a good size, square and fairly large, the dancefloor is rubbish, very small. The music was UTTER RUBBISH!!! All they played was dance music, NO R&B!!! I have NEVER been to a club where R&B has not been played!! Even when I left at 12.30ish still no R&B!!By 11.30pm the place was packed, some nice looking men, nut trashy looking girls with very cheap clothes, they seem to let anyone in!FB is is pricey £20.00 entry even if you are on Guestlist!£2.00 for every item you put in the cloakroom, can be quite pricey if you have a coat, scarf and other things!Drinks: £8/9 on a glass of house rose, white or redthat's the cheapest drinks I saw on the menu! The ladies toilets are next to the cloakroom and are SHOCKING!! there were only about 5/6 toilets and TWO sinks!! very very small toilets. My advice to anyone DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!This has to be one of the WORST clubs in Central London!!If you want to spend excesses of money go to another club, you will be disappointed at FB!
Went to Funky Buddha on Friday nov 21st, Rude door staff (include the incompetent Club manager). The music was terrible DJs are rubbish and can't mix,
all in all a terrible experience, Worst club in the West-end. Never ever again.
I was very excited about visiting the Funky Buddha as the Brighton one is excellent. The queues are outrageous if you're not organised and guest list is essential as with most West End clubs. It often takes a while for the crowd to get going, more so than in other venues, and this can be off-putting because it creates a slightly awkward atmosphere. But, saying that, once the music gets into the swing of things so do the punters, and it turns into a fairly good night out! There's not a lot of space on the dancefloor and drink prices are ridiculous- £8 for a standard small glass of white wine- but it's worth a go for a bit of a dance and a giggle!
