Silent Cinema at Andaz

I can’t stand people talking at the cinema. One of the last films I saw was absolutely ruined by a woman behind me who must have been auditioning to be a member of a sitcom audience – at every opportunity she would gasp and cry out, ‘Ooh!’ ‘Oh no!’ ‘Don’t go in there!’ and, my favourite, the neverending ‘Awwwww.’

How I wish that, instead of grumbling at her from a few seats away, I could have just walked out and gone to Silent Cinema at Andaz instead. Not quite what you might expect when you hear the words silent cinema, these screenings show films that you listen to through …
